Mamta Foundation: An Organization That Stands For Gender Equality And Women’s Empowerment

Mamta Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the moral, social, cultural and economic uplift of orphan, unwanted, abandoned and poor children around the world. 

 

The organization aims to fight against female foeticide and gender selective abortions and stand for gender equality and women’s empowerment. 

 

The foundation supports the capacity of local communities to influence changes in attitudes and behaviour in order to reduce violence against women and girls globally. 

 

It also supports the poor, helpless, seniors, disabled persons, and people affected by natural disasters and wars around the world without any distinction of country, region, race, caste, colour, and religion. The Award was received by the founders of the organization, Makhan and Gurbaksh Deo.
