The song, composed by Pritam, starts with Shah Rukh Khan telling Anushka Sharma about the reason behind the high-pitched voice of most of the Punjabi singers. He says it happens because most of them come from agricultural families where they had to sing on a higher note than the sound of their tractors. Of course, it’s just a dialogue as many popular Punjabi singers wouldn’t have practiced in their fields.

Written by Irshad Kamil, the song is voiced by Sunidhi Chauhan and Shahid Mallya.
