Comedian Recreates Celebrity Instagram Photos

Looked at 'heart hair' and fantasised about how it would look on you? Or imagined yourself in that gorgeous, sexy sunset wet-hair-in-the-hair, bikini-wearing silhouette shot on the beach?

Or do you think if you were photographed just walking down the street with your toddlers, wearing a fashionable white dress, you'd be looking like a million bucks — just like those countless celebrity photos that bombard the Internet and tabloids around the world?

Well, Australian comedian Celeste Barber decided to put all those questions/thoughts/fantasies to rest — and quite decidedly so. Barber has been on a mission to recreate some of the most famous Instagram pictures of celebrities to show how ridiculous they might look if taken in a non-celebrity (read real life!) set-up.

Talking to Buzzfeed about her project, she said, "Some celebrities on Instagram seem to think we, non-rich, non-privileged people are idiots and believe that what they are posting is real. I wanted to show how ridiculous it would be for a ’normal’ person to recreate some of these photos.”
