2014 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic – Vancouver Canucks vs. Ottawa Senators
BC Place was packed with close to 55,000 hockey enthusiasts, who came out to see the hometown Vancouver Canucks take on the Ottawa Senators for the 2014 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic on Sunday, March 2.
Pre-game highlights included the 1993-94 Vancouver Canucks team and Coach Pat Quinn and members of the gold-winning Canadian women’s hockey team – all of whom were met with tears of joy and thunderous applause.
Sarah McLachlan sang the national anthem, while Tegan and Sara performed during the first intermission and The Odds rocked it out during second intermission.
Ottawa was victorious scoring 4-2, but it was a great experience for hockey fans, many of whom flied in to Vancouver, to enjoy the Heritage Classic.
