Darpan Chat Central presents Olympian sprinter Jasneet Nijjar who made history as the first Indo-Canadian female to make the National track and field team at the Olympics.
Farnaaz just completed her 3rd year as a redshirt sophomore with the team and this as her first year where she featured as an important player and was a true starter by the end of the year.
After a long, gruelling season with tournaments and playoffs, the Huskies went into the provincials with the belief that they could win it all, and that is exactly what they did
The ace footballer turned his passion into a successful career at a young age. He has already established himself as one of the best in his position and looks to further his reputation by helping win a championship for BC Lions.
This was the team’s first provincials win for BC Tigers which was followed by their first nationals win ever. The Hurricanes are the first team from British Columbia to win the Challenge Trophy since 2004.
At the 2018 B.C. high school track and field championships in June, Jasneet won the girls 100m, 200m and 400m sprints for a rare triple crown. She is also the Canadian junior national champion at the 200m.
