  • Renowned mortgage broker nominated as finalist for Mortgage Broker of Year Award
Notable South Asian mortgage broker, Sharnjit Singh Gill, has done it again. The President/CEO of Superior Mortgage Force in Surrey has been nominated as the finalist for Mortgage Broker of Year for the 2018 Canadian Mortgage Awards (CMA).

The CMA has celebrated excellence across the entire spectrum of mortgage brokering in Canada and continues to be the leading independent awards event for the mortgage industry. The Winners of the 2018 Canadian Mortgage Awards will be announced on April 20 at The Liberty Grand in Toronto. “Being nominated as a finalist is a big achievement in itself,” shares Gill, who is grateful for this honour.

Gill has spent his entire life in the banking industry. During his 32 years in the banking industry, he gained extensive knowledge and experience in leading and people management. Since the inception of Superior Mortgage Force he was devoted himself to developing the company – which is now counted among the top mortgage companies in BC. “The secret of our success is education, education and education. We educate every client with information. Our principal is doing what is right for the client,” reveals Gill who also educates the community on the recent changes or trends in the mortgage industry through various media platforms.

Through his work and service to others, as a banker initially and now as mortgage broker, Gill has made a long-lasting impression on South Asian and Indo-Canadian members as a selfless and community-oriented individual. His work has not only brought him success and honour but multiple accolades that are a reflection of his hard work and dedication. Gill has been ranked one of the Top Canadian Mortgage Professional (CMP) since nine years; he was ranked CMP Top 37th in 2017. He received the VERIS Award for being the Top 3 mortgage broker in BC by volume for 2016. For the year 2016 and 2015, Gill and his team were ranked #1 with Credit Union for maximum mortgage funded. Gill and his son Raj were honoured with the Top Producing Mortgage Broker Award from Envision Credit Union in 2014.

The experienced and respected broker’s advice to those interested in the profession is: “It is a very stressful job and you need to have a lot of knowledge and good training.” Nineteen-year-old sub-mortgage broker Sunny Bal, who considers Gill as his mentor, calls him an inspirational figure. “There is so much to learn from him [Gill]. It is very encouraging to learn from someone who has a background in this field and so many stories to share.”

We wish Sharnjit Singh Gill good luck for the Mortgage Broker of the Year Award.
