The South Asian community is mourning the loss of a local businessman, father, husband, son, and friend. Shan-E-Punjab Arts Club founder Jatinder Singh Randhawa passed away suddenly on Tuesday. His demise has not only saddened the community but also left the community in shock.
Shan - E - Punjab Arts Club was founded in 2008 by Jatinder Singh Randhawa who wanted to preserve the Punjabi culture and heritage. A passion for culture and heritage along with music and dance served as the perfect combination to create this flourishing academy.
Shan - E - Punjab is one of the best bhangra and giddha academies in North America and they have performed at competitions in Los Angeles, Boston, Detroit, Calgary, Edmonton, Las Vegas, Phoenix etc.
Founder Jatinder Singh Randhawa's vision to preserve and promote the art of the folk dances of Punjab in North America through performance, education, and community outreach was something very dear to his heart .
He was also recognized by Darpan Magazine for his artistic contribution to the community in 2019.
