  • Real estate mogul Daljit Thind of Thind Properties honoured with Order of BC

The provincial government has named the latest round of recipients for the Order of British Columbia.

Well known real estate mogul and owner of Thind Properties, Daljit Thind, is among the appointees. Thind is among 14 new appointees announced by Lieutenant-Governor Janet Austin Monday.

Born in Punjab into the Sikh community must give back to the community whatever they earn – a lesson he learned early. That philosophy serves as the foundation for how
Thind operates his multi-million-dollar empire – THIND Properties Ltd.

Today the husband, father of three and community-minded volunteer runs a thriving real estate business that has been in operation for 20 years and is ranked as one of the leading property development groups in the Lower Mainland. With various Georgie awards in hand (Best Kitchen – Multi-family 2016) and finalist for the 2017 Georgies (Best Advertising Campaign, Best Sales Centre, and Grand Georgie: Marketing Campaign of the Year) the company has staked out a reputation of being leaders in the industry.

Other honourees included movie star Ryan Reynolds, Susan Giles, and Evanna Brennan, longtime outreach nurses working in Vancouver's Downtown East Side, music talent scout Sam Feldman and conservationist George Riefel.

The province says the Order of B-C is intended to recognize residents who have made a significant provincial, national or international impact, and a ceremony for the new appointees will take place in Victoria this fall.
