Camera that lets you refocus photos after clicking them!

Darpan News Desk IANS, 28 Apr, 2014 10:54 AM
Love photography? Here comes a new-age camera that allows photographers explore "living picture" - making it possible for them to refocus the photos even after taking them.

The Illum camera from Lytro, which marks the company's second attempt to tap the market of creative photographers, harnesses the power of light field - capturing the direction, colour and brightness of the rays of light within the frame.

Lytro released the first consumer light-field camera in 2012.

"The new camera allows you to explore your pictures from different perspectives, focal points and dimensions," said a statement from the company.

The camera boasts of a 8X (30 - 250mm) zoom lens, 1/4,000 shutter, a constant f/2.0 aperture, which ensures a high level of light enters the lens for clear photos, and a four-inch backside touchscreen display.

The new sensor can capture 40 million light rays compared to the original’s 11 million.

“The Lytro desktop tools give you the ability to transform pictures into dynamic animations that can be experienced on desktop, mobile devices and in 3D,” said the statement.

It will be available in July for $1,500 (Rs.90,810), wired.com reported.
