Whitecaps Defender Pa-Modou Kah Wins Player Of The Week Award After Two-goal Performance

The Canadian Press, 04 Aug, 2015 11:58 AM
Vancouver Whitecaps defender Pa-Modou Kah has been named the Major League Soccer player of the week.

Kah scored two goals in the Whitecaps' 3-0 road win over the Seattle Sounders on Saturday. Kah's first goals of the season helped the Whitecaps retake the top spot in the Western Conference and record a league-leading seventh road win.

Kah opened the scoring in the sixth minute for his first goal with the Whitecaps. The Norwegian international doubled the score in the 49th minute with a slick finish. Cristian Techera took a corner kick and played a little give-and-go with Kekuta Manneh. Techera then drove a low shot into the box that Kah back-heeled into the far corner to secure the win.

Kah is the first Whitecaps player to earn player of the week honours this season.
