Wasim Akram Misses Wife In New Zealand!

Darpan News Desk IANS, 22 Feb, 2015 02:01 PM
Working as a cricket commentator during the World Cup, former Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram Sunday said that he is missing his wife Shaniera.

Out sight seeing in New Zealand -- the co-hosts for the quadrennial event, Akram tweeted that he wished to be with his wife, and posted a photograph of his with a scenic hill background.

"Exploring New Zealand wish you were here @iamShaniera #amazingview#adventure#travelnewzealand," tweeted Akram, who married Shaniera in 2013.

The Pakistani legend did not have to wait too long as Shaniera replied back saying: "@wasimakramlive me too! Enjoy beautiful New Zealand."

Akram first met Australian Shaniera Thompson when he visited Melbourne in 2011. This is the 48-year-old’s second marriage after his first wife Huma died of multiple organ failure in 2009.

Shaniera gave birth to their child in December 2014.
