Two Transit Police Officers Guilty Of Assaulting 29-Year-Old Man In Vancouver

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 29 May, 2015 01:41 PM
VANCOUVER — Two Transit Police officers have been convicted of assaulting a passenger at a SkyTrain station in Vancouver.

Bruce Shipley and Alfred Wong were acquitted of other charges including public mischief, breach of trust and fabricating evidence.

They pepper-sprayed now-29-year old Jordan Dyck at the Granville station in February 2012.

Shipley and Wong were originally charged with assault but the other charges were added following a criminal investigation by the Vancouver Police Department.

Dyck says he only cares that the officers were found guilty of assaulting him and wasn’t expecting anything more.

Shipley and Wong will be sentenced at a later date.
