The Toronto Argonauts came out victorious in the 111th Grey Cup

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 18 Nov, 2024 11:25 AM
  • The Toronto Argonauts came out victorious in the 111th Grey Cup

The C-F-L's Winnipeg Blue Bombers were left stunned by their Grey Cup loss to the Toronto Argonauts.

The heavily favoured Blue Bombers lost 41 to 24 to Toronto on Sunday at B-C Place Stadium in Vancouver.

It was the second time in three years the Bombers lost the championship to an underdog Argonaut team, and they were also upset by the Montreal Alouettes last year.

Offensive lineman Patrick Neufeld says he's been feeling the gamut of negative emotions — disappointment over this year's loss, after anger and sadness over failing the clinch the cup in the two previous years.

The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, dropped into the Grey Cup for a surprise appearance at B-C Place.

The prince presented B-C Lions owner Amar Doman a gold Invictus Games jersey, while Doman gave him a Grey Cup 2024 jersey.

Prince Harry, who founded the Invictus Games, has visited B-C before to promote the upcoming games in Vancouver and Whistler in February.

He also did a brief pre-game interview with T-S-N, saying it was his first time attending a Grey Cup, and that if he was to play in the C-F-L, he thinks the quarterback position would be “a cool place to be.”
