As per Dan Murphy of Sportsnet, Head Coach of the Vancouver Canucks, Rick Tocchet, got Arshdeep Bains in the lineup for his NHL debut.
 
This is the first time a South Asian player is making his NHL debut with the Canucks—a truly proud moment for the community.
A milestone achievement as Bains is the 4th Punjabi playing in the NHL.
 
Bains could become a role model for other kids inspiring them in the world of hockey!
Way to go Arshdeep Bains!!

The Vancouver Whitecaps are shifting their CONCACAF Champions Cup Game on February 7th to Starlight Stadium in Langford, B-C, because of a scheduling conflict at B-C Place. Whitecaps chief executive officer Axel Schuster says the team explored all possibilities upon learning of the conflict and that Starlight Stadium was the only CONCACAF-approved stadium.
