Some devastating news from the sports world. Vancouver Canucks are expressing shock and grief over the death of their former beloved Canuck Gino Odjick. He was only 52 years old.

Odjick was born in Quebec and was known as the 'Enforcer' during his hockey career.

Odjick played 12 seasons in the NHL. His reign began in 1990 and til 2002 he played for New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, and Montreal Canadiens as well as the Canucks.

He played with the very talented and much loved hockey player Pavel Bure. In terms of his stats, Odjick had a career high of 16 goals and 13 assists for 29 points.

Codolences have poured in from other teammates as well as Canucks management.

The cause of his passing away is not known. Odjick leaves a family behind.
