VANCOUVER — Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane was a healthy scratch for Tuesday night's game against the Vancouver Canucks.
There was no indication earlier in the day that the 23-year-old Vancouver native would be watching from the press box in his hometown after he spoke with the media on Tuesday morning.
Kane, who played his junior hockey with the WHL's Vancouver Giants, has 10 goals and 12 assists in 37 games this season.
The Jets had lost four straight in regulation heading into the game at Rogers Arena, with Kane a combined minus-7 to go along with no points over his last three outings.
