Canucks Recall Goaltender Michael Garteig From ECHL Alaska Aces

    VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks recalled goaltender Michael Garteig from the ECHL Alaska Aces on Thursday.
     
    Garteig, 25, has appeared in six games with the Aces this season, posting a 5-1-0 record along with a .916 save percentage and 2.52 goals-against average.
     
    He completed his senior season with Quinnipiac University in 2015-16, leading the Bobcats to the ECAC Championship and a berth in the NCAA National Championship.
     
    Garteig appeared in 124 NCAA games over four seasons for Quinnipiac University, compiling a 78-25-16 record, a 1.98 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
     
    Vancouver signed the Prince George, B.C., native as a free agent on April 29.
