Canada Wins Semifinal Against Iroquois Nationals, Will Face United States

    COQUITLAM, B.C. — Jeff Teat had four goals and two assists as Canada beat the Iroquois Nationals 14-11 on Thursday to earn a spot in the under-19 lacrosse world championships.
     
    Ryan Lanchbury, Treton Leclaire and Rylan Rees each had a pair of goals for the Canadians, who will face the United States in the final on Saturday.
     
    Canada also got goals from Riley Curtis, Ethan Walker, Tanner Cook and Thomas Semple. Kyle Hebert stopped 16-of-27 shots for the win. 
     
    Tehoka Nanticoke paced the Iroquois Nationals with four goals. Austin Stats scored twice while Sekawnee Baker, Skye Sunday, Doug Jamieson, Devon Buckshot and Mitch Laffin had the others. Tyler Armstrong made just six saves on 20 shots for the loss.
     
    In the other semifinal, the U.S. beat Australia 23-1.
