Yuba City Attracts Largest U.S. Gathering of Sikhs This Weekend

Darpan News Desk, 28 Oct, 2019 05:24 PM

This weekend, the largest gathering of Sikhs in the United States will be taking place in Yuba City, California.

In fact, over 100,000 Sikhs from across the U.S. and around the world are expected to attend the annual Yuba City Nagar Kirtan.

Nagar Kirtans take place in Sikh communities in pockets all over the country, but what makes this specific one so spectacular is that it is a rare opportunity to capture the essence of what it means to be Sikh in America -- all in one location -- at a time when Sikhs worldwide are celebrating a historic anniversary -- the 550th gurpurab of Guru Nanak.

WHEN: All day on November 1 through 3, 2019

WHERE: 2468 Tierra Buena Rd, Yuba City, California 95993
