Police in Coquitlam are looking for witnesses after a youth was stabbed and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Mounties say the attack happened yesterday afternoon just before 3 p-m when officers responded to a report at Terry Fox Park in Port Coquitlam.

Police say they found one victim who was then taken to hospital for treatement.

A police release says three youth suspects, dressed in all black, fled the scene in a black car, and there were many people at the park who may have seen or captured footage of what happened
