Worker Killed At Goldcorp's Musselwhite Mine In Northern Ontario, Work Suspended

    VANCOUVER — Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G) says a worker has been killed at its Musselwhite Mine in northern Ontario.
     
    The gold miner says the scoop operator died while working underground when rocks fell and completely covered the digger on Wednesday morning.
     
    Goldcorp says it is co-operating with an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and offering support to the worker's family and employees at the mine.
     
    Work at Musselwhite has been suspended until authorities complete their investigation.
     
    Musselwhite began commercial production in April 1997.
