Woman's Death Near Fort St. James, B.C., Considered Suspicious: RCMP

    FORT ST. JAMES, B.C. — Police are investigating a woman's death in northern British Columbia.
     
     
    RCMP say in a news release that they received a call early Thursday about an injured female on the Yekooche reserve, located about 85 kilometres northwest of Fort St. James.
     
     
    Officers arrived to find that an adult woman had died.
     
     
    Police say the death appears to be suspicious in nature and the North District Major Crime unit has been called in to investigate.
     
     
    No details have been released about the woman's identity or what caused her death.
     
     
    Police are asking anyone with information to call Fort St. James RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
