Woman waiting for flight gives birth at Toronto's Pearson Airport

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 23 Feb, 2015 10:48 AM

TORONTO — A woman waiting for a flight at Toronto's Pearson Airport ended up getting a trip to the maternity ward instead.

Paramedics were called to the airport last night after the woman went into labour in an airport lounge while waiting for a flight to Edmonton.

Toronto T-V station CP24 reported that a doctor who'd been booked on the same flight as the woman helped deliver her baby.

The Peel Paramedic Service said the mother and her newborn son were taken to hospital to be checked over, and that both were in good health.
