Patrols in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighborhood have increased after a woman was violently assaulted by two strangers early Monday morning, July 11th.
Residents near West 10th and Waterloo Street may see additional officers patrolling and knocking on doors.
The suspects were men in their 20s who had their faces covered.
Both suspects were shot and killed as police responded to the robbery and six officers were wounded. Chief Const. Dean Duthie says two officers were seriously hurt and underwent surgery late Tuesday.
