Woman in serious condition after shooting inside Guildford residence in Surrey

Darpan News Desk Surrey RCMP, 29 Mar, 2021 06:09 PM
  • Woman in serious condition after shooting inside Guildford residence in Surrey

The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit is currently investigating a shooting that occurred inside of a residence in Guildford.

Shortly before 12:00 a.m. on March 28, 2021, Surrey RCMP responded to a call from Emergency Health Services reporting a shooting in a residence in the 11600-block of 113B Avenue. Frontline officers arrived and located a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital in serious condition. The suspect in this shooting fled the residence prior to police arrival.

The initial indications are that this shooting is between parties known to one another with no continued risk to the public. This incident does not appear to be related to the Lower Mainland Gang conflict; however, police are investigating possible links to the drug trade.

Anyone with more information about this incident is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca
