Woman Found Dead At Regal Hotel Is Vancouver's 13Th Homicide Victim Of 2018: Police

    The VPD’s Major Crime Section is investigating after the discovery of woman’s body in a Granville Street apartment in downtown Vancouver early Wednesday morning.

     

    At around 4:30 a.m. on August 1, police were called to the Regal Hotel on Granville Street near Helmcken Street about a strong odor on the second floor. Officers located a deceased woman inside an apartment.

     

    The victim has been identified as a 31-year-old Vancouver resident. The victim’s name will not be released until her next-of-kin have been notified.

     
     
     
     

    This is city’s 13th homicide in 2018.

     

    No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives do not believe this was a random event and advise that there is no risk to the general public.
