Woman dies in weekend drowning

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 03 Jul, 2024 01:27 PM
  • Woman dies in weekend drowning

Mounties on the upper Sunshine Coast say a 29-year-old woman is dead after an apparent drowning over the weekend.

They say it happened on Sunday near the barge terminal on Savary Island off the coast of Lund, north of Powell River.

Police say officers went to the scene alongside the B-C Coroners Service and the death does not appear to have been suspicious.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Powell River R-C-M-P.
