Woman Dies In Fall At Sooke Potholes Regional Park, Near Victoria, B.C.

    SOOKE, B.C. — The BC Coroners Service is investigating a fatal fall at a popular park west of Victoria.
     
    Coroner Barb McLintock confirms the death occurred Saturday evening at Sooke Potholes Regional Park.
     
     
    Officials with Sooke Fire and Rescue say the call came in at 8:20 p.m.
     
    Lt. Chris McCrae describes the accident as a "long fall."
     
    He says the victim died at the scene.
     
    A cause of the fall has not been determined but McLintock expects more information will be released later. (The Canadian Press, CFAX)
