The Canadian Press, 05 Jun, 2015 01:01 PM
BOSTON BAR, B.C. — Police are investigating the death of a woman whose car collided with a tractor-trailer on Highway 1 north of Boston Bar, B.C.

RCMP say the 63-year-old driver was travelling in the same direction as the commercial vehicle loaded with lumber.

Mounties say the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the collision at about 8 a.m. Thursday.

Cpl. Ronda Rempel says the highway was opened to alternating traffic in the late afternoon and that drivers should slow down for emergency crews that remain at the site.

The name of the woman who died at the scene has not been released.

The BC Coroners Service is also investigating her death.
