A suspect has been arrested in Richmond after reports of an armed man chasing a woman at a transit station.
Mounties say it happened over the weekend, when witnesses told police that a man carrying a knife got off a train and fell down an escalator.
Witnesses told police the man also dropped what appeared to be a gun, but it was later determined to be an airsoft pistol.
Police say they arrested the man after a brief foot chase.

The union representing Canada Post workers says the Crown corporation has been laying off striking employees as the labour action by more than 55,000 workers approaches the two-week mark. The Liberal government introduced a stand-alone bill to implement its proposed GST holiday Wednesday, hours after the NDP threatened it would not pass the legislation if it was linked to a $250 rebate for working Canadians.
