Woman Arrested, Police Seek Details Following Suspicious Death Involving Truck In Fort St. John

The Canadian Press, 08 Sep, 2015 12:08 PM
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A woman is in custody as RCMP in Fort St. John, B.C., investigate what they are calling a suspicious death.

They say the woman was arrested late Sunday night when Mounties stopped a pickup truck in Taylor, about 20 kilometres south of Fort St. John.

The truck was registered to Kirk Morin, who had been found dead in the northeastern B.C. community just a few hours earlier.

Investigators say they are trying to piece together what may have happened between the woman and Morin just before his death.

They also want to speak to anyone in Taylor who may have seen something suspicious between a man and woman or who noticed a white Dodge pick-up with dual-mounted rear tires.

The name of the woman is not being released until a decision on charges is made and she appears in court.
