Woman Arrested On Robbery And Kidnapping Charges In Chilliwack, B.C.

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 28 Dec, 2019 06:09 AM

CHILLIWACK, B.C. - The RCMP say officers took a 26-year-old woman from Chilliwack, B.C., into custody after a provincewide warrant was issued for her arrest on robbery and kidnapping charges.

Court records show Alexis Neill is facing the charges along with a co-accused, Owen Charpentier, stemming from an alleged incident in October.

The records show she had a bail hearing on Nov. 16 and her next appearance was set for Dec. 10, when a judge issued a warrant for her arrest.

The RCMP alerted the public on Dec. 18 that the warrant had been issued and cautioned that Neill should not be approached if seen.

Cpl. Mike Rail says she was apprehended soon after and court records show she had an appearance on Dec. 19 with her next court hearing scheduled for Jan. 7.

Rail declined to provide any details of the allegations against Neill and Charpentier because the matter is before the courts.
