Winnipeg police discover remains of as many as 4 dead infants in storage locker

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 21 Oct, 2014 11:32 AM

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg police say they have discovered the remains of as many as four dead infants in a city storage locker.

They say officers made the discovery Monday in a commercial part of Winnipeg's northwest.

Const. Eric Hofley says the victims appear to be very young and could be newborns.

He says the remains were so decomposed, it's not clear if police are dealing with three or four bodies.

Police were called by the storage locker company due to "suspicious circumstances."

Hofley says autopsies are being conducted and police can't say how the infants died.
