Winnipeg: Body Of 15-Year-Old Aboriginal Girl Found In Red River

    WINNIPEG - Winnipeg police say a body wrapped in a bag and pulled from the Red River on Sunday belonged to a slain 15-year-old aboriginal girl.
     
    Tina Fontaine was last seen downtown Aug. 8 and was reported missing the next day.
     
    Sgt. John O'Donovan says she was in the care of Child and Family Services and had run away.
     
    He says no arrests have been made.
     
    Police are asking for information from anyone who may have seen Tina in the last 10 days.
     
    Also Sunday, the body of a man was pulled from the river near a north-end park.
     
    That man has not been identified.
