Winner Of $12.8 Million Lotto Says He Wants To Build New Home With 'Gigantic' TV

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 22 Jun, 2016 11:59 AM
VANCOUVER — After winning $12.8 million, Ian Hirsch says he plans to use some of the money to build a house around a gigantic new TV.

Hirsch says he and his wife checked the ticket three times to make sure he had actually won Saturday's Lotto 6-49 draw.

Now the newly minted millionaire from Coquitlam, B.C., is compiling a wish list of what he'd like to do with the winnings.

The list includes trips to Europe and Hawaii, buying a new car, helping out his kids and building a house with a state of the art man cave.

Hirsch says he'll never forget calling his children on video chat to tell them he had won the lottery and watching them "go crazy."
