Wijdan Yasir, 28-Year-Old Calgary Man Charged With Sexual Assault At Hotel Pool

    Lethbridge Police have charged a Calgary man in connection with an incident where a woman and two girls were sexually assaulted at a hotel pool.
     
    On April 16, 2016 police responded to the Holiday Inn along the 2300 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South. Investigation determined that a male  had inappropriately touched an adult female and two young girls in the pool. The male was located and arrested without incident. The victims were not known to the accused.
     
    Wijdan Yasir, 28, of Calgary, is charged with three counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference. Yasir was released from custody on $1,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court April 29.
     
    As these sexual assaults occurred in a hotel pool it is possible there may be additional victims or witnesses who have not yet been identified. Police are asking anyone who may have additional information to call 403-328-4444.
