West Vancouver Man, 56, Dies On Grouse Grind In North Vancouver

    VANCOUVER — A 55-year-old man who died while climbing the Grouse Grind in North Vancouver has been identified.
     
    The BC Coroners Service says Sean Henley was hiking the popular Grouse Mountain trail when he collapsed about three-quarters of the way to the top.
     
    The West Vancouver resident died at the scene at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, despite another climber's attempts to resuscitate him.
     
    The challenging 2.9-kilometre trail, dubbed Mother Nature's Stairmaster, opened for the season in early May.
