REGINA — Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall says he's not an outsider at an international climate change conference in Paris.
Wall has been criticized for saying that political leaders should keep the economy and the energy sector in mind when talking about climate change.
Wall said in a teleconference that he's not worried about — quote — "what the other kids in class" think about him.
The premier said he wants to work with other provinces, and he raised the idea that maybe they could save money by purchasing solar-power technology together.
Wall went to Paris to promote carbon capture and storage technology that is being pioneered in Saskatchewan.
The project has had some technical problems, but Wall said people at the summit understand that new technology can have hiccups and are still interested in carbon capture.
