Victoria Man Clings To Life After Altercation With Taxi Passengers

    VICTORIA — A 26-year-old Victoria man has life-threatening injuries after an altercation with passengers in a taxi.
     
    West Shore RCMP say the incident occurred at 4:30 a.m. Saturday on the Songhees First Nation reserve in the Greater Victoria area.
     
    Const. Alex Berube say a group of people, including occupants of a taxi, were involved in a physical altercation.
     
    He says the Major Crime unit is actively investigating and are prioritizing their resources to identify the suspect.
     
    Mounties are asking the people who were in the taxi to come forward, to determine the reason for the altercation.
     
    Anyone with information is asked to contact West Shore RCMP or Crimestoppers.
