Victim Of Richmond Homicide Identified As 42-Yr-Old Gregory Joseph Scuby

RICHMOND, B.C. — A man has been found dead in Richmond, B.C., and homicide investigators have taken over the case.

A news release from Richmond RCMP says the body of Gregory Joseph Scuby was found near No. 5 Road and Dyke Road at around 11 a.m.

#IHIT has ID'ed the victim from #RichmondBC as 42 y/o Gregory Joseph Scuby, a resident of Richmond. Mr. Scuby was well known to police and investigators are working to determine motive. #IHIT urges anyone w/ info to pls come forward. pic.twitter.com/0jNFk5EyxE

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team Cpl. Frank Jang says the victim is well known to police.

He says the slaying does not appear gang related, but has offered few other details.

An autopsy is expected in the next few days.
