Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 11 Sep, 2019 05:16 PM

SALMON ARM, B.C. - The body of a boater who disappeared in a British Columbia lake earlier this month has now been recovered and identified.

Ryan Hartmann disappeared in Shuswap Lake on Sept. 1, following a night-time collision between the boat he was in and a second vessel.

A 25-year-old woman also suffered serious injuries but was not ejected from the boat.

Salmon Arm RCMP say Hartmann's body was located by the Mountie's underwater recovery team on Monday.

It was identified by the BC Coroners Service.

An investigation into Hartmann's death continues and police say no further information is being released. (CHNL)
