A driver with Coast Mountain Bus Company for nearly 2 decades who was well loved and respected by all passed away tragically on Monday, September 27th. 

Bus Driver, Charanjit Parhar, was pinned between 2 buses. He was dealing with a mechanical issue on Monday morning in Downtown Vancouver. The incident is being further investigated. He was 64. 

Translink took to Twitter to share the news of the bus driver passing away and are mourning his demise by a moment of silence today. 

To recognize him and what he meant to Coast Mountain Bus Company flags will be lowered to half-mast on sea buses  and black ribbons will be tied on buses on Friday. 

The news of Parhar's sudden death has filled the hearts of Translink employees with grief and sorrow.
