Police in Vancouver say a suspect has been charged in another man's death over the weekend, marking the city's first alleged homicide of this year.
A statement from police says the 39-year-old suspect has been charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody.
It says officers responded to a 9-1-1 call from a home near Knight Street and 33rd Avenue at around 1 A-M on Sunday and found the victim, who they are identifying as Alexander Lo, a 31-year-old Vancouver man.
It says they arrested the suspect at the scene and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case.
