Vancouver police are warning seniors to lock their doors after two separate reports of robbery against elderly downtown residents, which left one man injured.
Officers responded early Thursday and Friday mornings after a woman allegedly entered two unlocked suites in an apartment building (near the intersection of Seymour and Davie streets) and robbed the occupants.
In one of the incidents a man was left with bruises.
Police say the suspect is in her mid twenties.
Vancouver police spokesman Sgt. Randy Fincham describes the woman's behaviour as a despicable act committed against vulnerable members of the community.
No charges have been laid but the investigation is ongoing.
