Vancouver Police seize replica guns, and tactical vests

Darpan News Desk Vancouver Police, 16 Jun, 2020 02:47 AM
  • Vancouver Police seize replica guns, and tactical vests

Vancouver Police officers today seized multiple replica guns, tactical vests and weapons from the Downtown Eastside. "This is a substantial seizure because of the quality of the replicas and the military grade tactical equipment,” says Sergeant Aaron Roed, VPD. “Many replicas look like real guns and are used often in the city to commit crime. The suspects are known to police and have extensive criminal histories.”

Officers came across two men dressed in military gear with tactical vests this morning in the area of Main and East Hastings streets.

The subsequent investigation led officers to the seizure of the equipment in a single room occupancy hotel nearby. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
