  • Vancouver Police seize drugs, weapons, and stolen property from a rooming house in East Vancouver

Vancouver Police seized drugs, numerous weapons, and what is believed to be stolen property, from a rooming house near East 27th Avenue and Knight Street on Tuesday.

“Officers initially went to the residence for an unrelated investigation,” says Constable Tania Visintin, VPD. “When officers entered the home, they discovered that numerous people appeared to be living there and saw copious amounts of drugs, weapons, and property that nobody claimed.”

Officers also arrested an occupant of the home who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Alexander Woodley, 35, was wanted for the unauthorized use of credit card data and other fraud-related charges. “This was an extensive seizure as we believe these weapons would be used in the commission of serious, violent offences,” adds Visintin.

The following items were seized: Replica hand guns Replica long guns Gun ammunition Drugs Drug paraphernalia Passports Identification Bicycles Batons Brass knuckles Explosives Knives Electronic items (computer and cameras).

No additional arrests were made in relation to the seizure. Anyone with information on stolen property is asked to contact 9-1-1.
