  • Vancouver Police Officer Charged With Dangerous Driving For Incident Last Year

VANCOUVER — A Vancouver police officer has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

The BC Prosecution Service says Const. Luke Bokenfohr was on duty and driving a police vehicle on May 18, 2018.

It says the case was investigated by the Independent Investigations Office before Crown counsel approved the charge.

The independent civilian watchdog investigates any deaths or injuries that may have resulted from a police officer's actions.

Bokenfohr is scheduled to make his first court appearance on July 8.
