  • Vancouver Police looking for witnesses and dashcam video after pedestrian hit by car

Vancouver Police are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage after a vehicle struck a pedestrian Wednesday night.

“The victim suffered significant injuries as a result of the collision and is in hospital in serious condition,” says Constable Tania Visintin, VPD. “The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with our investigators.”

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was struck by a car near Grandview Highway and Renfrew Street on November 18 at 6:45 p.m.

The woman was walking along the centre median on Grandview Highway and crossed through westbound traffic to the north side of Grandview Highway when she was struck by a blue Subaru.

Investigators don’t believe speed and alcohol are factors.
