Vancouver police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a two-time sex offender who failed to return to his halfway house.

Police say 46-year-old Gerald McLean is considered a high risk.

McLean was under long-term supervision after being convicted for sexually assaulting a young child in 2000 and a teenager in 1995.

Police say he has several tattoos including an eagle on his upper arm, a skull on his shoulder, a tribal band on his arm and the word "prospector" on his back.

Anyone who sees McLean or knows of his whereabouts is being asked not to approach him and to call 911.
