Vancouver man has been charged for killing another man last September, following a months-long Vancouver Police investigation.
The victim, Neil Scarisbrick, was assaulted during an altercation near Columbia and East Hastings streets around 2:30 a.m. on September 7. Scarisbrick died from his injuries.
Jonathan James Payne, 36, is charged with one count of manslaughter. The incident was the 11th of 19 homicides in Vancouver last year.
The Phantom was confirmed stolen from a break and enter to a residence in West Vancouver from February 2020.
A statement from the department says fire investigators worked with officials from utility companies to determine that a fire in a car 30 metres away from the blast was also caused by the electrical faults.
